I am very passionate about teaching! I think I got it from my dad. He was always educating us about everything!  I have a vivid image in my mind of him showing me a blade of grass and telling me all about it!

20 years ago I started teaching for ARTS. I was told I would have 12 students. 35 kids showed up! We were doing mosaics and I only had materials for 12. It was quite magical how materials began to appear along with parents and grand parents to help. We had to move the classes to the sidewalk because the classroom was so small. It was a wonderful sight to see 6 year olds up to 90 year olds gathered around the tables creating!

Currently I teach for  ARTS - Arts For Rural Texas at their Schulenburg Campus. We have a class for seniors on Friday mornings and I also teach Art After-School for kids from the Turtle Wing organization.

 I still love creating mosaic maniacs!  And now I have added eco-printing to the list of classes along with concrete leaf casting.
